Rebecca gets the shock of her life on Neighbours next week as Paul springs a marriage renewal ceremony on her.
Still blackmailing his wife to stay with him, Paul comes up with the idea as part of a desperate attempt to reassert his control - though part of him seems convinced that Rebecca truly loves him.
In a further twist, Paul reveals his surprise just as Rebecca has agreed to meet Michael following a shift at work and it seems like the pair are truly about to become more than just friends.
However, any chance of a future for Rebecca and Michael seems remote when Paul tells his partner about his plan at Lassiter's Park and wedding guests start arriving unexpectedly.
Faced by her friends and neighbours, it seems that Rebecca will have no choice but to push aside her true feelings and reaffirm her commitment to Paul in front of everyone…

However, it's not all doom and gloom on the romance front in Erinsborough as things between Kate and Detective Brennan are about to hot up.
Next week gets off to a rocky start for the pair when a scheming Declan lies to Kate about Brennan, claiming that he's been threatening and violent towards him.
When Kate finally realises that she's been deceived, she heads off to the police station to apologise but Brennan cuts short her speech by planting a kiss on her.
Is this the start of a full-blown romance?

However, as so many people in the Bay had reason to harm Penn, it's clear that getting to the bottom of the mystery isn't going to be easy - will this be a case that Robertson can't crack?
For now, it seems like Alf is top on his list of suspects…
