5551: Steve risks his marriage to trap Nicola

Steve suspects Nicola is faking amnesia to worm her way back into the Parker’s hearts. Miranda is blinded by guilt, and eager to make amends by bringing Nicola back into the family fold, which Bridget fears will lead to disaster. Steve sees a threat to his family but to neutralise it he must go behind Miranda’s back.

Steve’s suspicions are confirmed when Nicola plays husband and wife against one another but Miranda refuses to face the truth and sides with her damaged sister. Steve must protect his family from Nicola but to flush her out he has to play a risky emotional game.

Ty’s in turmoil about what to do with Rachel’s ring from Angus - to return it or throw it away. Either way he risks upsetting Rachel. It wouldn’t matter if he didn’t care so much for her. Ty takes Declan’s advice but it’s wrong and he winds up dumping his frustrations on Rachel. Their relationship looks set to stall before it ever took off.

With pessimist Declan in Ty’s ear, and Bridget dishing up tough love to Rachel, a brave new beginning is what’s needed. Rachel puts Angus behind her to test the water with Ty, but is she too late?
