5638: Miranda's taken into custody

Libby’s taken to hospital. The diagnosis is: she’s pregnant. Her parents are shocked and Dan is surprised – but will the risk to Libby’s life in continuing the pregnancy cause rifts?

Miranda remains at odds with Bridget and Steve. She finds an untended baby, and takes it to search for the mother. By the time the frantic mother finds Miranda with her child, police are involved. Crucially, when Steve is questioned, his doubts prompt the police to put Miranda in protective custody under the Mental Health Act.
