5643: Miranda initiates divorce proceedings

Ty’s declaration that he doesn’t love Rachel rocks her to the core and she lashes out angrily at Zeke for his interference. Zeke defends himself, suggesting her relationship with Ty was doomed anyway, but later he is exposed to just how much the decision to set Rachel free has cost Ty.

Rachel decides that she should leave Ramsay Street to take up her school place in London, and Ty reaches out with a last gesture of love.

On the morning of Declan’s all-important AFL assessment he is waylaid, first by the news of his mother’s engagement, then by the sight of tearful Bridget processing the news of her parents’ divorce. Declan stops to comfort her and in the process blows his last chance at an AFL career. But the cloud has a silver lining, as grateful Bridget rekindles their love.

With a new-found independence, Miranda strikes out in a new direction, applying for a job at Lassiters.

Rebecca breaks the news of her engagement to Declan and then Miranda. But is she really as committed to a life with Andrew as she makes out?
