5666: Susan gives Ringo an ultimatum

Bridget and Declan are at loggerheads over what to do with the twenty grand they found in the community garden. Guessing it’s from a criminal source and possibly dangerous, Bridget thinks they should hand it into the police, but Declan’s seriously tempted to spend it - especially when he learns of Rebecca’s financial woes.

All arguments cease when the money disappears. The culprit turns out to be Mickey who has buried it for safekeeping. When they finally recover it, Zeke recognises the bag that contains the money as belonging to his sister Katya. Knowing the very real dangers it poses, Zeke insists they put the money back where they found it and never touch it again.

After his fall from football grace, Susan wants Ringo to go back to school, but Ringo feels he’s burnt his bridges and can never return. He convinces Rebecca to give him a trial at Charlie’s with the aim of gaining full-time employment.

All goes well until a patron recognises Ringo and berates him for destroying a champion’s career. Ringo quits and Rebecca and Susan must convince Ringo to deal with his past mistakes or go back home.

Sunny’s obsession with uncovering the identity of Lost Boy leads her to losing her volunteer job at the radio station. Her sacking only makes her more determined to confront the Lost Boy and Zeke must do his best to keep her off the scent.
