Later, having been granted bail, Paul - flanked by Rebecca and Toadie - returns to Ramsay Street only to be greeted by a media scrum who quiz him about Jill's death. Meanwhile, Lou arrives having returned from spending time with Harold and immediately swoops in to field the media's questions while Paul, Rebecca and Toadie rush inside number 26. Inside, Rebecca tells Paul that she believes he's innocent and despite Paul's suggestion to flee Erinsborough, Rebecca informs Paul that she loves him and that they're not going anywhere.
Meanwhile, Jill's three children - Katie, Harry and Sophie - are struggling to come to terms with their mother's death. When Karl offers to speak to social services, Katie refuses, instead lying that their aunt Carol is coming down from Sydney to look after them. However, Karl is suspicious and tells Susan that he doesn't believe there is an aunt Carol. Despite Susan and Karl's offers to help the Ramsay kids, Katie insists that their aunt Carol has everything under control.
Steph has to break the news to an unaware Donna that Paul has been arrested for Jill's death. Donna is hurt that Elle didn't bother to tell her the news herself and throws herself into the school play to take her mind off things. Steph decides to help Donna out and eventually ends up teaching her how to ride a motorbike by straddling the arms of the sofa. Later, Donna confronts Elle about Paul's arrest and questions her as to why Elle didn't bother to tell her. Hurt by her run-in with Elle, Donna - decked out in her new riding leathers - mounts Steph's bike and starts it up. Hearing someone starting her motorbike, Steph rushes outside to see Donna speed off down Ramsay Street. Despite her best attempts to stop Donna, Steph can only look on in a terrified panic as the sound of screeching brakes fills the air.
