5702: Sunny and Zeke kiss

After her accident at the school play, Bridget is taken to hospital where tests are carried out on her unborn baby. Steve demands to know from Declan how the accident happened and when Declan tells him that he was fighting with Harry, Steve is furious. Wracked with guilt, Declan apologises to a worried Bridget. With fears for the baby's wellbeing, Karl informs Steve and Miranda that if the baby is distressed, Bridget may have to undergo an emergency caesarean. Undergoing an ultrasound, Bridget is relieved when everything appears to be okay, however she'll have to stay in overnight for observations.

Following Bridget's accident, the school chairwoman calls for the play to be cancelled but Dan refuses, stating everyone has worked too hard on the play to just cancel it. With the start of the play just moments away, Sunny's nerves begin to get the better of her.

The play soon gets underway and while Zeke and Donna act out the wedding between Gerard and Stella, Sunny sits alone in the dressing room trying to overcome her nerves. Ringo finds her and tries to get her to the stage, but Sunny's skirt rips. When Sunny misses her cue, Donna is forced to improvise to keep the show running. Showing Dan her ripped skirt, Sunny watches on as Zeke describes her character and, touched by his words, hastily tapes up her skirt before running on stage and kissing Zeke. As a rapturous applause engulfs the auditorium, Sunny and Zeke are lost in their moment of passion.

After watching Donna's performance, a smitten Ringo congratulates her on her performance before offering to walk her home. Donna, high on performance adrenalin, agrees and the pair set off home.
