Later, Susan catches up with Kate in Harold's Store and queries her over the fire. Angered, Kate protests her innocence but says that she hates the Robinson's. She's further angered when Lou informs her that Elle owns the store. Quitting, Kate snaps at Susan that she wishes the Robinson house had burnt down to the ground.
Having overheard Susan and Kate's run-in earlier in the store, Callum tells Toadie that Kate started the fire - something the fire fighters overhear and inform the police about. It's not long before Kate is being questioned over the Robinson blaze despite her protests that she's innocent. Later, Kate tells Harry to pack his bags - they're leaving Ramsay Street. Susan and Toadie head over to the Ramsay's to tell them that the fire was an accident when they see Kate and Harry coming down the driveway with their bags packed. They announce that their moving to a backpacker's hostel until they can find somewhere else to live. Even though the fire was an accident, it doesn't excuse the fact that Susan thought Kate had started the blaze.
Later, Elle visits Kate to apologise but is met by a hostile Harry. When Lucas manages to convince Harry to play a game of basketball with him, Elle is given the chance to apologise to Kate and offer her her job back, however, Kate states that she'd rather beg than work for a Robinson.
Miranda's suspicions about Steve and Rebecca's close friendship begin to get the better of her and she confides in Susan that she thinks there's more going on between them than meets the eye - but Susan refuses to believe that Rebecca and Steve are involved. Later, with Audrey needing surgery after swallowing a bone and Steve needing an assistant, Miranda offers to help. Unable to help herself, Miranda asks Steve if he's in love with Rebecca and says that the thought of him moving on with someone else made her sick with jealousy. Miranda tells Steve that she still loves him and thinks he still loves her too. Later, the couple share a passionate kiss before Steve races out of the veterinary clinic, leaving Miranda confused.
With no serious injuries from the fire, Ringo recruits Bridget's help in an important matter. Later, he presents Donna with a friendship ring as a sign of his love for her.
