5707: Declan and Bridget marry

Declan is taken aback by Bridget's suggestion that they get married today in the small country church, but she maintains that she loves him and it feels right. There's a reason they stumbled across the church. When Donna, Ringo, Sunny and Zeke arrive, they're shocked when Bridget and Declan announce that they're getting married. Their shock soon turns to excitement and Donna leads the charge on preparing everything for the impending ceremony.

Meanwhile back in Erinsborough, Rebecca is concerned that she can't get hold of Declan, Bridget or any of the other teens and asks Steve and Miranda if they've seen them - they haven't. Later, Toadie admits that Ringo borrowed his car to drive out to help Declan and Bridget after they broke down. It's then Rebecca who realises Declan and Bridget were on their way to try and stop Paul at the airfield.

Back at the church, preparations are well under way for Declan and Bridget's wedding and Donna is beyond thrilled to be asked to be Bridget's bridesmaid. However, Sunny is less than enthusiastic and suggests maybe it would be better if Steve, Miranda and Rebecca were there to witness the nuptials. Despite initially dismissing Sunny's concerns, Bridget later questions whether she'd like to have her parents there to watch her get married.

Having arrived at the airfield, Steve, Miranda and Rebecca are disheartened to learn Bridget and Declan passed through there hours ago. The Parkers and Rebecca scramble back into the car, desperate to find the teens and hoping they've not done anything stupid.

Having managed to source outfits from the local second-hand store and thanks to Donna's event co-ordinating expertise, Declan and Bridget's big moment has arrived. The loving couple exchange vows and rings, and it isn't long before the priest pronounces them husband and wife. However, as the newlyweds walk hand-in-hand out of the church through a flurry of falling rose petals, their wedded bliss is short lived when Steve, Miranda and Rebecca arrive at the church.
