5708: Karl's worried about Susan

Miranda is furious at Bridget following her wedding to Declan. Branding her daughter selfish, Miranda can't believe Bridget would go ahead with a wedding without her family there to support her. Bridget snaps that for once it isn't about Miranda and storms out on dinner. Later, a remorseful Bridget wonders whether she and Declan should've called their parents from the church but Declan says they'll deal with it in time.

Miranda tells Steve that she would've given anything to be at the wedding as they reminisce about their own nuptials. Later, Bridget tries to make peace with her mother by suggesting a shopping trip and a coffee. But when Miranda spots Bridget's wedding ring, she's unable to stop herself becoming upset. In one last attempt to smooth things over with her mum, Bridget requests a wedding reception and asks Miranda to organise it, to which she happily agrees. Later that night at the wedding reception, Steve, Miranda and Rebecca present Bridget and Declan with a pair of wedding rings and ask them to exchange them in front of everyone so it feels like no-one missed the wedding, to which they happily agree.

Watching a young couple with a baby in Charlie's, Libby is getting clucky and Dan tells her he's been doing some thinking about having a baby. Later, the happy couple announce to Libby, Karl and Steph that they've decided to go ahead with surrogacy. Despite Karl's objections, Susan and Steph are thrilled for Libby and Dan.

Later, Susan tells Karl she can't make lunch with him as she's meeting up with Libby. However, when Karl finds Libby in Harold's Store, he's concerned when she tells him she's not meeting up with Susan today. Worried that Susan's hiding something, Karl asks Libby to find out what's going on. Susan reassures Libby that she's not doing anything bad but quite the opposite. Later at Bridget and Declan's wedding reception, Karl presses Susan for information on what's wrong with her. Susan says she's fine and visited the doctor to see if she could carry a baby for Libby and Dan. Karl looks on shocked as Susan reveals she wants to be their surrogate.

Rebecca thanks Declan for trying to stop Paul leaving the country but later admits that Paul isn't on the run - he's looking for the father of the Ramsay kids. Rebecca confesses that Paul paid her a visit and is going to tell the police in a couple of days, once he's managed to track Patrick down. Declan warns his mother that if she doesn't turn in Paul to the police, he will.

Sunny's forgotten to finish her English assignment and, after rushing her work, is sickened to realise she's done it wrong, but it's too late to get it back. Later, Sunny's devastated when she receives her work back from Dan and finds out she's failed. Despite her protests and claims she's an A grade student, Dan tells Sunny she could do much better. Upset, Sunny yells at him in Korean before ripping up her assignment and storming out of class. After apologising to Dan, an upset Sunny tells Zeke that she can't study when she's with him and breaks up with him.
