5733: The Parkers are involved in an accident

It's the day the Parkers are setting off to Oakey to show off baby India to the family, however, the problems with Donna and the other teens are playing heavily on Bridget and Declan's minds and, coupled with India's restlessness, are causing the young couple to bicker. Steve and Miranda resolve to help the teens sort through their issues. Miranda talks to Bridget, while Steve joins Declan for a workout.

Later, Steve and Miranda listen in on the baby monitor as the young couple continue to argue over the issue of godparents. However, things take a personal turn when Declan mentions that Bridget is the one making the decisions and highlights the adoption issue. As Miranda and Steve head off to get some final necessities for the trip to Oakey, Declan and Bridget are left to catch up on some much-needed sleep. Bridget joins Declan in the nursery and promises never to fight again.

It's decided that Declan will remain in Ramsay Street and the Parkers soon set off for Oakey. Despite Miranda's insistence that Steve not sing 'Ten Green Bottles' or take a shortcut, he does both and manages to get the family lost. The Parkers are soon back on the road and as Steve entertains Miranda and Bridget with his singing and then a game of I-spy, a horse gallops out onto the road. Swerving to miss the animal, the Parkers' car crashes off the road, leaving a trail of destruction.

Susan is preparing for her procedure to have the fertilised egg implanted tomorrow and when Dan checks up on Susan to make sure that everything is okay, she inadvertently snaps at him. Later at the gym, Susan is telling Toadie how guilty she feels about snapping at Dan when he enters the building. Susan is convinced she's offended him and Toadie sets off to talk to Dan, but he insists that everything is fine.

Later, Susan talks to Dan and tells him that if he's having any second thoughts that they should talk things through, but Dan insists he's fine. Toadie urges Dan to talk to Susan if he's having any issues with the surrogacy before she goes to the hospital to have the fertilised egg implanted. Dan approaches Susan and opens up to her about his concerns and confusion at the surrogacy and the in-laws soon work through their issues.
