5756: Elle makes Lucas's life hell

Having bought the garage, Elle immediately sets about implementing a number of changes to the business and delivers Lucas a crushing blow - she's sacking him as manager and offering the position to Steph. While Steph tries to plead Lucas's case, Elle isn't having it. Meanwhile, after learning that Steph is considering Elle's offer, Lucas lashes out at her saying she's taken Elle's side and that it is payback for the moment they shared a few weeks ago. Will Steph accept Elle's offer?

When Paul learns of what Elle has done, he points out to her that revenge isn't always the best option and won't make her happy. Elle insists that implementing the changes at the garage is simply a business decision and has nothing to do with revenge.

Later, still struggling to find a best man for his wedding to Rebecca, Paul offers the job to Toadie who laughs it off as a joke. Pretending to be joking the whole time, Paul is then surprised when Elle puts herself forward for the role. Once Paul accepts her offer, Elle sets about organising the buck's party. But just what does she have planned that will leave everyone, but especially Lucas, shocked?

Meanwhile, it is Declan's birthday and the teens are wondering how to celebrate the special day so soon after Bridget's death. Declan tells his friends he would like a party and Paul kindly gives Donna a wad of cash with the instructions that she is in charge of finding Declan something nice. Later, Ringo remembers that Bridget left her present for Declan at number 28 so he wouldn't find it and the teens wonder whether or not to give it to the grieving father.

Later, while opening his presents, Declan is surprised to receive money from Rebecca and she admits that she had originally purchased a voucher for a night away for two. Flooded with memories of Bridget, Declan excuses himself from the party as Ringo gives chase. The two friends open up and Declan reveals that he can't stop thinking about Bridget before later coming up with an idea on how to use the voucher for a night away.
