Later, with Rebecca needing to hurry off to an appointment to organise her hair and make-up for the wedding, an exhausted Declan holds his daughter and is overjoyed when she smiles - a smile he thinks is her first. While Declan gushes over his daughter, Rebecca remains silent about India's earlier smile. However, when Susan bumps into Declan, she accidentally lets slip about India's real first smile and Declan is devastated that he missed an important moment in his daughter's life. It's then he makes a crucial decision about his future.
Callum isn't impressed that he can't have the kind of fun with Rocky that he would with a normal dog and complains to Toadie that he wants a normal dog he can run amuck with. Later, Callum arrives home with a new dog, Bullwinkle, and tells Toadie that he bought him from a friend. Toadie isn't impressed when Callum calls him out on a technicality that he could spend his own money on whatever he wanted.
Later, Toadie turns to both Susan and Karl for parenting advice and comes to the decision to give Callum a bit more of a free reign in the hope that he'll learn things for himself. However, it ends disastrously when Callum slips into sloth mode and Bullwinkle destroys one of Libby's shoes. Toadie tells Callum that although he isn't his father, he does have a legal responsibility for the youth and tells Callum that he'll need to pay Libby back for the destroyed shoes. Will Toadie be able to get through to Callum?
Meanwhile, Zeke's obsessive behaviour continues to increase as do Harry's concerns and he ends up sending an anonymous email into Karl's 'Ask Doctor Karl' column about his worries for a friend. Not knowing that the email is actually about Zeke, Karl talks to Susan about the subject of the email having an anxiety disorder and says that it is something they need to stop before it eventually takes over the person's life, while the whole time Zeke is obsessively lining up containers in the kitchen.
