4776: 'Fiddler On The Roof'

Following Kayla’s disappearance, Max wants to get the police involved. Boyd reasons if they do this, then neither Kayla nor the Hoylands will get custody of Ashley. Awash with guilt that he was unable to provide Kayla with the instant family she desired, Boyd wants to do as Kayla asks and let Max and Steph raise Ashley, thinking that way everyone will get what they want. He hopes that with Kayla’s disappearance they can all move forward, and so, withholds the vital information that Kayla is still in love with Ashley’s father, Anthony, and probably with him. Bonded by their love for Ashley, Steph and Boyd realise that they won’t be able to move forward properly until they sort this out, and so, Boyd reveals what he knows. The Hoylands set off to get answers. When they track down Kayla and confront her, the Hoylands discover the truth. Kayla’s kept Ashley’s existence a secret from Anthony fearing his rejection. She wants to continue keeping this secret and for the Hoylands to have Ashley. All she wants is to start again with Anthony.
Joe reckons he’s worked hard and deserves a rest – unfortunately Harold and Sky don’t agree with his new “philosophy???. To appease them both, Joe advertises for handyman work and Lyn takes him on to fix her roof - and Lyn’s unnerved when she discovers this likeable knockabout bloke shares the same name as her ex-husband. She quickly gets over it, however, and some cheeky flirting ensues.
Stingray’s unable to get any support from his co-workers, despite the fact they share his views on Go-Go’s inappropriate behaviour. He resolves to put up and shut up – his family needs him to keep this job.
Sky tells Dylan she loves him and he’s visibly shaken by the declaration. She’s surprised – he’s already told her he “really likes her??? and she knew what he really meant. Dylan’s unnerved and tells Sky they should respect Harold’s wishes and not see each other. The truth is that Dylan loves Sky but he’s afraid to say as much, but Sky starts to subscribe to Joe’s theory – maybe when it comes to girls, Dylan is actually very inexperienced.
