6395: Chris can't be honest with his dad

Chris encourages Tash to figure out what she is going to do about her living arrangements. They realise that one more housemate would be enough to help them pay the rent on the house. Chris initially approaches Aidan, but quickly accepts that they're not ready for that yet. However, Aidan also reminds Chris that he still needs to run the idea past his dad.

George is initially reluctant to let Chris move out permanently, but eventually agrees as long as he can check out the house. George approves and all seems to be going well, until Aidan unexpectedly arrives and George questions the boys' relationship. Scared of being rejected by his father, Chris instinctively lies, claiming that Aidan is just Tash's friend. However, he hates himself for it.

Meanwhile, unable to change Sheila's opinion of Jade, Kyle encourages Jade to say the right things around her. Jade gives it a shot, but quickly calls the situation for what it is and informs Sheila that she loves Kyle and isn't going anywhere. With Kyle's pushing, Sheila spends some more time around Jade and the two manage to find some common ground. But it's soon obvious to Jade that Kate is the sort of girl that Sheila approves of, not her. Despite Sheila's disapproval, Kyle and Jade remain committed to each other and secure in their relationship.

Elsewhere, determined to find a rich widow to solve his money woes, Lou meets Vera and works hard to woo her. Scoring a date with her to a wedding, Lou quickly manages to turn the situation into a money-spinner.
