6452: Priya fumes over Ajay's decision

Shell-shocked by Ajay's rash move, Priya is furious with him for buying a house without consulting her. Ajay tries to justify his decision by pointing out that they were looking for a place anyway, but Priya remains upset that she was shut out of the decision.

Later, when Priya realises that Ajay has been deeply affected by his election loss and only did this for the good of his family, she convinces herself that it's a positive change. However, there's a strong sense that something is not quite right in this marriage…

Meanwhile, Rhys is excited to hear that he's been nominated to go away with Martin on an overseas lecture tour. Showing they're a great team, Vanessa uses her warmth and humour to help him complete his application. Just when it seems that Rhys's career and love life are working in perfect sync, he learns that the placement is for three months. Realising he doesn't want to spend that much time away from Vanessa, he decides not to go.

Vanessa is touched by the gesture, but convinces Rhys that he can't let go of such an opportunity. Valuing his career so highly, Rhys agrees. However, when he goes to hand in his application, Rhys is reminded of how happy Vanessa makes him and resolves to invite her along. While Rhys is certain he's ready to take this big step, he's shocked by Vanessa's response.

Elsewhere, wanting to feel more involved in Sonya's pregnancy, Toadie sets up a Twitter feed to track her progress. While Sonya is immediately onboard with his plan, Callum is mortified by his embarrassing parents.
