6469: Toadie costs himself a promotion

Toadie is concerned that he's been under extra scrutiny from Charlotte at the office lately. When he details Charlotte's attitude to pregnant Sonya, she grows paranoid, worrying that Charlotte may be trying to hit on him. Despite initially dismissing this idea, Toadie eventually lets it get the better of him, especially when Charlotte invites him to a private meeting.

As all the clues seemingly stack up, Toadie prepares to confront Charlotte - only for Sonya to separately work out Charlotte's true agenda. She's actually planning to recommend Toadie for a promotion. Sonya races to save Toadie, but she's too late. Toadie confronts Charlotte and is stunned to learn the truth. He's left embarrassed and has blown his chances at the promotion…

Meanwhile, Priya tries to shut down her interaction with Paul, but after she tries to encourage Kate to reconsider teaching, she receives some champagne from him as a thank you. Realising he has misread her actions, Priya is keen to correct this by returning the gift. However, when Ajay catches her, she's forced to keep it - inadvertently sending Paul the wrong message.

Elsewhere, encouraged by Priya, and realising she's unfulfilled at Charlie's, Kate considers a return to teaching. However, when reminded of her past mistakes, she decides she doesn't deserve this and shuts down the idea of going back.
