6520: Kyle breaks up with Jade

While Jade is convinced that Kyle is on board with her news, he struggles to come to terms with what it means for their relationship. He considers following Jade to LA, but quickly realises that he can't leave his life behind.

Inspired by Georgia's take on a long distance relationship, Kyle invests in the idea. However, when Jade and he struggle to coordinate time together over the next year, he realises there won't be much of a relationship to maintain and he realises that he can't settle for that. Devastated, he breaks up with Jade.

Meanwhile, when Kate sees Rhys affected by Vanessa's wedding plans, she decides to help buoy Rhys. Enlisting Karl's help, they rope Rhys into speaking to the students about his career as a doctor. A bitter Rhys downplays his mundane job and Kate's plan looks set to derail until Sophie points out that he saved her life, and that of Chris too. The students are enamoured and with their praise, they lift Rhys's spirits.

Elsewhere, Sonya ropes Jade into Georgia's baby shower idea, hopeful of spending time with her sister. But when Jade struggles to share their enthusiasm for the plans, Sonya suspects that Jade may be jealous of her growing friendship with Georgia. Sonya is relieved when Jade reveals that she is pleased Sonya has found a good friend to be there for her while she is in LA. With Jade on the verge of leaving once more, the sisters are closer than ever.
