6538: Aidan is suspended by the hospital

Aidan is frustrated when Karl passes his case onto the hospital board, but he downplays the potential outcome when Chris expresses his concern. When Chris learns that Aidan was protecting Andrew, he blames Andrew for putting Aidan in this situation. Believing Summer and Tash will feel the same way, Chris is gutted when they actually side with Andrew.

Later, Aidan is finally informed that he is being suspended pending a full investigation and could possibly lose his registration. He breaks down and hides the outcome from Chris. However, Chris realises Aidan lied to him and is far from coping with the devastating news.

Meanwhile, the shine of spending so much time with her sister is wearing and Susan is keen for time on her own. Using a deadline as an excuse, Susan escapes to work, only to have Karl intrude, needing a sympathetic ear.

When Carmel tracks her down, Susan spies an opportunity to reclaim her own time and suggests Carmel and Karl should have lunch together - unwittingly giving Carmel another chance to bond with Karl.
