'Home and Away' star misses old stories
Home and Away actress Debra Lawrence has admitted that she misses the more family-orientated storylines from the soap's past.

Lawrence, who makes a brief return to Australian screens next week as Pippa Fletcher, told TV Week that things have changed since she was on the show.

"I do get a little bit nostalgic," she said. "I miss the old, simpler and more family-orientated storylines. Things have certainly changed since I started back in the '90s! There's a little bit more violence and there's definitely more alcohol being drunk now than when I was there!"

When asked about the controversy surrounding the current lesbian plot, Lawrence said: "I've been reading that people have had a few issues with the lesbian storyline, but what they forget is that Isla Fisher's character, Shannon, left the show with another woman.

"We did this 12 years ago - it's already been done. It's probably just a case of a new generation of parents coming through, I guess."
