The 24-year-old, who plays Summer Bay favourite Aden Jefferies, signed with talent agency The Gersh Agency during a recent trip to the US.
"I got signed over there [in LA] with an agent! It's all been hush-hush for a while," Lasance told TV Week. "We did meetings for a couple of weeks, then three days before I came back, I just gelled with one particular agent and loved her. She asked if I'd like to join the agency so I was stoked!
"I was over the moon. You can imagine me - I love this job and I want to do so well."
Asked when he plans to leave Home and Away, Lasance said: "How do I word this? Let's just say, I'll be ready to make the next step in the not-too-distant future."
Last month, the actor revealed his sadness at co-star Jess Tovey's decision to quit the series after three years.
