Packed To The Rafters actor Hugh Sheridan has tipped Home and Away's Todd Lasance to beat him at the Logie Awards.

The pair are both in the running for this year's 'Most Popular Actor' prize alongside Rafters regular Erik Thomson (Dave Rafter) and Summer Bay's Luke Jacobz (Angelo Rosetta) and Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart).

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph about the battle, Sheridan commented: "Todd will win for sure I reckon."

Lasance, who plays Aden Jefferies on the Seven soap, has suffered a backlash in recent months following a cocaine scandal.

However, Sheridan predicted that the 25-year-old will bounce back at the ceremony, explaining: "Popularity is popularity. He's a really talented guy."

The Logie Awards will be held in Melbourne on May 2.
