The Home and Away character, played by Rhiannon Fish, will reportedly start to lose confidence in her schoolwork and begins doing her assignments over and over again.
Her friend Dex Walker (Charles Cottier) will apparently attempt to convince her to take a break, but she refuses to listen.
An insider said: "April is stressed out big time. She is desperate to do well and starts putting so much pressure on herself that she can't cope.
"April is in for a really tough time."
The storyline begins on Channel 5 next month.
