'H&A' star ponders Indi, Romeo future

Home and Away star Samara Weaving has admitted that her character Indigo Walker will need "time to grieve" after she discovers that her boyfriend Romeo Smith is a love cheat.

Later this week, fans in the UK will see Romeo (Luke Mitchell) betray Indi as he decides to sleep with Ruby Buckton, who has developed an infatuation with him.

Romeo's infidelity does not stay secret for long, however, as Ruby (Rebecca Breeds) eventually blurts out the truth to Indi when the secret becomes too much to bear. The scenes are about to air in Australia.

Speaking to TV Week about Indi's reaction, Weaving explained: "She can't be in the same room anymore and just leaves straight away. Her knight in shining armour has been shattered. The one person she thought would never do something like that has done it - and she doesn't understand the circumstances."

She added: "Indi is devastated. I think she just needs time to grieve. I think people would expect their relationship to end, because if something like that happens in a relationship you can't really understand it."

While Indi and Romeo's long-term future is currently unknown, Weaving confirmed that her character will find it difficult to ever forgive Ruby.

She said: "I think that friendship is pretty much over now!"
