The 19-year-old Australian actress, who is best known for playing Indigo Walker in Home and Away, reportedly split from her boyfriend of three years, a Canberra-based university student named Paul, back in April.
A friend of Weaving told The Daily Telegraph: "Samara moved to Sydney from Canberra last year after being cast as Indi, and her relationship became a long distance one because of Paul's university studies.
"They kept the romance going - but in the end the distance between the two was the catalyst for the relationship to end. So Samara is happily single, working long hours."
Weaving's Home and Away character is poised to marry on-screen boyfriend Romeo Smith, who is played by actor Luke Mitchell, in upcoming episodes.
The duo have previously admitted that they found their proposal scenes "weird" and their on-screen kissing "awkward".
Weaving recently said that she "loves" men "with English accents", adding: "I'm so quirky and weird, so I need a weirdo to hang out with!"
