'Home and Away' Charlie will be held hostage, reveals Esther Anderson

Home and Away star Esther Anderson has revealed that there is a new ordeal ahead for her character Charlie Buckton as she is held hostage in a forthcoming storyline.

Charlie will soon find herself caught up in Summer Bay's ongoing gang wars when villainous Hammer (Benedict Samuel) kidnaps her in order to get revenge against Brax (Steve Peacocke) and the River Boys.

The incident occurs shortly after Hammer has issued Brax with a warning to hand over Angelo's restaurant and leave town.

Speaking of Charlie's kidnap, Anderson told TV Week: "It's a smart move, because Hammer knows Brax loves her, so he rings Brax to say he's got his girl, and to come here or something will happen to her.

"He's taken Charlie to a hidden location and he has a gun. Her arms are tied and she's gagged. It's not pretty."

Confirming that Brax will try to rescue Charlie, Anderson added: "If someone you love is in danger, of course you'd go. But Hammer is definitely the one in control."

Home and Away fans in Australia will see these scenes next week, while the storyline airs on Channel 5 in the UK later this year.
