Brax has enjoyed an on-off relationship with Charlie over the past few months, but as first revealed last week, the bad boy is about to grow close to lawyer Hayley, played by Alyssa McClelland.
In scenes which air in Australia later this month, Brax continues to strike up a bond with Hayley by teaching her how to surf - leaving Charlie (Esther Anderson) with pangs of heartbreak when she spots them together.
Peacocke told TV Week: "She recognises there's a bit of chemistry between the two. There's definitely something there, it's not that deep, but Brax needs someone to be there and Hayley's the only one."
The actor added that keeping Charlie on her toes could be one of the main reasons why Brax is pursuing the romance with Hayley.
"He's made it clear that he wants to be with [Charlie], so he thinks it's not going to hurt for her to see that he'll move on," Peacocke explained. "But I'm not sure he's going to find anyone like her."
Home and Away airs these scenes next week on Network Seven in Australia and in the winter on Channel 5 in the UK.
