Home and Away actress Sharni Vinson has decided to quit the soap so that she can move to America to be with her boyfriend, CSI: NY actor A.J. Buckley.
Vinson, who plays Cassie Turner on the Australian show, met Buckley during a trip to Los Angeles earlier this year and the pair have kept a long-distance relationship ever since.
Reports claim she wants to move to be closer to him and to attempt to crack a career in Hollywood, where she has reportedly already made "great contacts".
Channel Seven, which airs Home and Away, has not yet made an official comment on the departure because Vinson will be seen on screen until the middle of next year.
The news comes after her colleagues Kate Ritchie and Isabel Lucas also quit the soap.
