4862: Miles is left behind at sea

Having been handed a balaclava and a gun by Gardy, Roman refuses to partake in the planned armed robbery of the bottle shop. Gardy warns Roman that if he has to go and do the job by himself, there's going to be a lot of blood. Feeling trapped and left with no other choice, Roman reluctantly dons the balaclava and joins Gardy in holding up the bottle shop. However, just as they begin to make their escape, a panicked customer has a heart attack and Roman stops to give her CPR. Demanding the store clerk call and ambulance, Roman then flees just as Kirsty, Geoff and Annie witness the getaway.

Having made a successful getaway, Roman demands to know the reason why they had to hold up the bottle shop. Gardy reveals that he owes a large sum of money to some serious people. Later, still furious, Roman demands that Gardy be gone by the morning. Gardy, however, has other plans and threatens to tell the police about the armed robbery and Roman's involvement. Roman quickly realises that he's trapped in a living nightmare.

Trey finally opens up to Nicole about his body issues and reveals that for years, he has been teased over his weight problems. Humbled that Trey has been able to confide in her, Nicole softens towards him. Later in the evening, while back at Nicole's, the couple are caught kissing on the sofa by Roman and Gardy. Fearful of her father's reaction, Nicole is surprised to have Roman's support in her new relationship.

Kirsty takes Annie and Geoff to visit Irene in prison where she reveals that although the police officer Irene shot is going to be okay, he's still going ahead with pressing charges. Realising that Irene is struggling with prison life, Kirsty asks if she's been drinking. Irene takes offence at Kirsty's questioning and insists that Geoff and Annie don't come back. Later, a bottle of gin is pushed through into Irene's cell. Unable to say no, Irene picks up the bottle and takes a drink.

After a full day of shark hunting, Alf, Miles and Hugo are disheartened after an unsuccessful afternoon. As they resign themselves to the fact that Hugo's business and the Caravan Park will now be forced to close, the trio are surprised when the shark finder goes off. In the ensuing chaos, Miles is knocked overboard. Unaware of what's happened, Alf and Hugo speed off in the boat, leaving Miles alone in the middle of the cold and dark shark-infested waters.
