4867: Roman races to rescue Nicole

Trapped in Trey's bedroom while Gardy lurks just outside tormenting Trey and his mother, a terrified Nicole calls Roman for help. Roman frantically races across the Bay in a desperate bid to save his daughter before Gardy can get to her. Hearing a noise come from Trey's room, Gardy cautiously approaches the bedroom door and slowly opens it. A terrified Nicole holds her breath as the door swings open and Gardy appears. Arriving just in time, Roman wrestles Gardy to the ground but is stunned when he realises who it is. Letting Gardy escape, Roman tells Charlie that he didn't recognise the intruder.

Roman insists that Nicole continue to stay with Ruby and Charlie. Heartbroken by her father's apparent attempts to drive her out of his life, Nicole turns to Trey for comfort. Charlie can't help but feel as though the attack on Trey and his mother is somehow linked to the recent robbery of the bottle shop. Questioning Roman about Gardy, Charlie is surprised when Roman vouches for him. Later, Roman agrees to help Gardy with the robbery on one condition - that it gets Gardy out of his life once and for all.

Claudia reveals to Geoff that her parents had learned that she was pregnant and had thrown her out. With nowhere else for Claudia to stay, Belle agrees that she can stay with them. Still trying to come to term themselves with the fact they're about to become parents, Claudia and Geoff plead with Belle not to tell Irene about the baby.

Later, Claudia reveals to Annie that she's considering having a termination. Shocked, Annie confides in Geoff about Claudia's plans. Although an abortion is against his beliefs, Geoff tells Claudia that ultimately it is her decision. Still grappling with the enormity of the situation, Geoff decides he needs time to think and heads into the bush for a few days, leaving Claudia alone.

While visiting Irene in prison, Belle is shocked when Irene reveals that she's taken up drinking again. Belle confides in Angelo, who is now more determined than ever to help clear Irene's name. With failure not an option, Angelo heads back to Lou's boat to conduct another search for evidence.
