4875: Nicole struggles without Roman

With Roman on remand for a number of serious offences, Nicole struggles to once again adapt to life without her father. Although living with Miles and Kirsty, Nicole can't help but mourn the loss of her old life and it isn't long before her relationship with Trey begins to cause problems with Kirsty and Jai. Unable to stomach any more of Kirsty and Jai's complaints, Miles snaps, branding the pair selfish. He also scolds them for the fact that neither of them seems to care what he's going through following Roman's incarceration. Miles, like Nicole, is struggling to deal with life without his best friend.

Later, Miles is introduced to the new relief teacher at Summer Bay High, May Stone. While attempting to familiarise herself with the Bay, May meets Angelo at the Diner and it isn't long before the pair are getting along like a house on fire. Summoning up the courage to ask the beautiful teacher out for a drink, Angelo is thrilled when she agrees to meet him later at the Surf Club.

Tony apologises to Rachel for his behaviour the night before and reassures her that he is looking forward to welcoming their baby into the world. Later, after hearing about Tony's plans to take Angelo out on a fishing trip, Martha visits her former father-in-law and unleashes a verbal attack, chastising him for becoming so friendly with his son's killer. While Tony tries to take Martha's attack in his stride, he can't hide the fact he's hurting.

Early the following morning, Angelo arrives eager to begin his fishing trip. However, it soon becomes clear that Tony has more than just fishing on his mind.
