4886: Ruby celebrates her birthday
It's the night of Ruby's sweet 16th birthday party and Charlie is feeling apprehensive about Ruby and Xavier's plans to take their relationship to the next level. Offering Charlie some advice, Angelo suggests that she speak to Ruby and tells her to just trust her instincts.

Nicole is upset when Trey arrives at the party determined to speak to her. Despite Jai's suggestions that he leave, Trey approaches Nicole and apologises for what happened with the sex tape. His anger sometimes gets the better of him and he didn't mean to show it to everyone. However, Nicole isn't so willing to forgive and forget.

Someone at the party has spiked the punch and Jai, having drunk too much, is feeling a little worse for wear. Cornering Annie, Jai questions her about how long he's going to have to wait until they're intimate. Upset, Annie believes that everything Jai has told her about being willing to wait has been nothing but a lie and breaks up with him before storming out of the party. Later, a tipsy Jai tells Nicole he's ruined things with Annie, while Annie cries in Irene's arms.

Believing that Trey is the one who spiked the punch, Alf throws Trey out and warns him never to show his face around the Surf Club again. However, it soon emerges that it was Gonk who spiked the punch and not Trey.

Having decided to spend the night with Xavier, Ruby is devastated and humiliated to learn that Xavier has been going around telling his friends about their plans and now, thanks to Gonk's gossiping, everyone at the party knows what they're planning to do. Embarrassed and heartbroken, Ruby leaves her own birthday party. Later, Xavier finds Ruby sitting on the beach and apologises. He then tells her he loves her. A delighted Ruby tells Xavier that she loves him too and they head back to Xavier's.

In the Diner, Charlie finds a lonely-looking May who tells her that Angelo ended their date early because he got called back to work. However, Charlie soon learns that this wasn't the case. Believing Xavier and Ruby have spent the night together, Charlie heads to Angelo's where she admits to telling May about Angelo shooting Jack because she was jealous. She wanted to spoil things between him and May. After a few awkward moments, Charlie and Angelo are soon in each other's arms.
