4910: Trey plans to kill John

Trey is back in Summer Bay and planning on exacting a final revenge on John. When his mother gets a worrying message from her son, she pays John a visit at the hospital and tells him that Trey is back in town. John relishes the chance of having a final face-to-face confrontation with Trey before he's locked up in prison. When Trey's mother leaves the hospital, Trey is spotted lurking in the corridor.

Having been accepted into university to study teaching, Kirsty tells Miles her good news but admits that she feels out of her depth and not good enough. Miles tries to reassure Kirsty that she'll make a good teacher and they wouldn't have accepted her into the course if they didn't think she was good enough.

Later, Kirsty pays John a visit at the hospital but their catchup is interrupted when Trey enters the room. John antagonises his stepson but Trey snaps, telling John he's finally going to listen to what he has to say. As Trey blasts John, Kirsty notices Trey is holding a syringe and tries to calm the situation. Kirsty tells Trey that if he goes through with things he'll only end up hurting his mother and she knows that's not what he wants. Eventually Trey gives in and, dropping the syringe, breaks down in tears as he hugs Kirsty.

Later at the police station, as Trey is questioned by the police, Trey's mother thanks Kirsty and Miles says this proves that Kirsty will make an excellent teacher. She managed to get through to Trey when no-one else could.

Nicole confides in Geoff that Belle and Aden's wedding hit home that Roman is never coming back. Despite Geoff trying to comfort her, Nicole feels uncomfortable and resists his sympathies. Later, Nicole and Geoff talk about her past relationships and when Geoff questions what has been going on between her and Trey, Nicole - thinking about Belle - replies that people hide things all the time.

Jai is talking to Indigo and Dexter at the Surf Club when Annie and Geoff arrive. Dexter is clearly taken with Annie and Indigo invites them to attend the party down at the docks. Later at the party, Jai can't take his eyes off Annie and Dexter as it appears a mutual interest is developing. Meanwhile, Indigo appears to be interested in Geoff, but when Nicole comments on how flirty she is being, Indigo replies that she was just being friendly. Geoff becomes concerned about Nicole's drinking but she insists he has no idea about the burden she's carrying. Later, an inebriated Nicole flags down a passing car and, despite Geoff chasing after her in a desperate bid to stop her doing something stupid, Nicole gets in the car and drives off with the complete stranger.
