4947: Ruby breaks up with Xavier

As Hugo and Xavier discuss the death threat left on their doorstep, Hugo says he doesn't believe it is from John Palmer but possibly one of his supporters. Approaching his equipment shed, Hugo is shocked to see it has been broken into and trashed. Reporting the incident to the police, Hugo is warned not to take matters into his own hands, but can't help but have a showdown with John.

Elsewhere, Nicole and Ruby are discussing Ruby's relationship with Xavier and she admits that she has feelings for Geoff. Despite conceding that she's going to try to make her relationship with Xavier work, Ruby later tells Nicole that if she were single she'd be pursuing Geoff and decides it is time to end things with Xavier.

Meanwhile, Hugo is shocked to find Derek Gould in his equipment shed and a fight breaks out. However, Xavier is knocked into the water and, as Hugo continues to struggle with Derek, Brendan dives into the water to save Xavier. After Derek flees, Xavier is dragged from the water and rushed to hospital, where Brendan's rescue efforts are commended. With the news that Xavier will make a full recovery, Ruby is left shocked when he has no recollection of her breaking up with him.

Martha is trying to convince Gina to agree to the idea of Brendan splitting his time between staying at the share house with his girlfriend Ruby and spending his time with Gina. However, Gina isn't convinced and her point about Brendan needing constant help is proven when he comes out needing help to open his piggy bank.

Later, Gina is surprised to discover Brendan on the phone to Ruby. Brendan is quick to point out that he called Ruby of his own accord and tells Gina that he likes Ruby and she likes him in return. Following Brendan's rescue of Xavier, Gina begins to see her son in a new light. Will she agree to him staying with Ruby in the share house?
