4967: Kirsty struggles with the loss of her baby

Hugo is shaken over the discovery of the bodies in the sunken boat, and Martha is there to comfort him. Angelo thinks the dead people were being smuggled into the country, and that Hugo is involved in the operation somehow. He's worried about giving too much information to the press, which would tip off Hugo as to what the Police know.

Angelo catches Clint at the docks, and thinks he's the key to breaking open the case. Later, Clint escapes from the Station, returning to the derelict house, where he's attacked by a man, while his son watches from the shadows.

Kirsty discovers that she's lost the baby and she's shattered - disorientated and listless, not dealing with the situation well. She pulls away from Miles and the family – the grief is too much. Leah too is feeling guilty over the food poisoning, and when she hears that Kirsty has lost the baby, her guilt goes into overdrive.

Rachel's comments confirm her suspicion that it was the food poisoning that caused Kirsty to lose the baby, and Leah doesn't know what to do. Miles feels the strain, and when he snaps at Jai, Alf worries about his state of mind over the loss of the baby and Kirsty's reaction to it.

When Irene visits Kirsty, she opens up to her, breaking down, which Miles witnesses. It hurts that she won't open up to him.

Later, Miles visits her, and Kirsty tells him she feels like losing the baby was punishment for not wanting it in the first place.

Jai is still mad at Romeo over Annie. Romeo wants to make it okay between them, but he doesn't know how. Annie however, is annoyed at Romeo for no-showing to their date, and doesn't want to see him anymore. Romeo is convinced that he and Jai will work it out, but when he visits Annie to apologise for standing her up, she is still angry, and tells him she's no longer interested in him.

When Miles snaps at Jai later, torn up about Kirsty, Jai thinks he should stay there to be with the family, so he offers his place on the trip to Annie. She's thrown by the offer, and isn't sure what to do about it.
