4974: Miles discovers that Kirsty has gone

Aden wants to call an ambulance for Romeo but Liam suggests they wait a bit, out of fear he will get in trouble for supplying drugs to kids. Liam suggests Aden take Romeo to hospital. He reluctantly does and Romeo is put on a drip overnight but is allowed to go home the next day. Romeo is furious with Liam for what happened.

Liam apologises, then Romeo admits part of the reason he is so angry is due to something in his past. He has never taken drugs before – or even been drunk.

Later whilst on the beach, Romeo looks at a photo of his mother, and we get the impression there is more here than meets the eye.

Aden is furious at the way Liam behaved with Romeo. Nicole defends her boyfriend at first but she has some reservations about it too. However Liam convinces her that he is trying to be a better person and she winds up forgiving him.

Nicole tells Aden this and they argue about Liam – Aden remains convinced Liam is no good. Nicole says she can't be friends with Aden if he can't be friends with Liam – Aden says he can't be friends with him and Nicole walks off.

John runs into Gina and they have coffee. John asks Gina out on a date and she agrees. Tony finds out about this and is concerned about their growing relationship but Gina says she'll make up her own mind.

Romeo's illness causes him to miss work and John Palmer fires him. This is seen by Gina, who is disappointed by John's bullying nature. She tells John she doesn't want to go out to dinner with him after all.

Miles arrives home to find that Kirsty has left him, only leaving a note. He is devastated. He breaks the news to Alf, Nicole and Romeo, who encourage him to go after her. However Miles is not in the mood – as far as he's concerned, it's over for good.
