3828: Alf is on a mission

The Guv is overjoyed that Dani and Scott have come to visit her in the hospital. She is obviously seriously ill and in pain. A guilt-stricken Dani finally breaks the news to her that her manuscript was destroyed. There is a flicker of anger in the Guv’s eyes, but it is fleeting. She is too sick to hold harsh thoughts. The Guv weeps. She is a scared and frightened woman.
Without consulting Scott, Dani offers to help re-write the manuscript. The Guv is blown away. Put on the spot, Scott can do little but go along with it. The Guv tries to reassure Scott that she loves Dani and would never willingly hurt her. However, Scott has a gut feeling that the Guv is going cause harm to him and Dani. (And boy is he going to be proved right!)
Josie is still waiting to see Ian Osborne. Is this some form of punishment? Stafford is not surprised she has been made to wait, after all she’s made a lot of blunders – letting Morag get involved, turning her phone off while Stafford was bugging the Beach House, not keeping Tasha in front of the cameras. Josie defends herself. Doesn’t Stafford think that bugging the Beach House was a little excentric? Stafford says that it’s Osborne’s money - he can do what he likes with it. Also, there’s a huge inheritance at stake and Osborne wants to be sure that Tasha is worthy. It seems that Stafford is immune to Josie’s charms.
Meanwhile, Tasha and Robbie are on their kayaking adventure. Whilst trying to escape a spider attack, Robbie and Tasha (and all their belongings) end up in the water. While their clothes are drying, a very naked Robbie hides behind some bushes. Tasha can’t understand why - she’s seen it all before. Robbie assures her that she hasn’t seen it quite like this before! He’s definitely not having the same problem he had the night they tried to make love.
Josie is still waiting! Stafford returns with an envelope for her. Inside are instructions from Osborne which she must follow precisely. Osborne wants to ensure that things go according to plan from now on. Josie has no choice but to comply - if she refuses, Tasha will be rejected by her father.
Alf is all would up about the destruction of the kiosk. Whoever did it had a key, and as president of the surf club he is going to make sure the mongrels suffer the consequences. He is a man on a mission.
