Later, John tells Jett that he has been a great support to both he and Gina, and that regardless of what happens between them, they will always be there for Jett. He also promises that he will try his best to win back Gina.
Meanwhile, Romeo and Indi take it slow reconnecting. When Romeo asks Indi on another date, Roo suggests that he should recreate their first romantic moment together. Taking this on board, Romeo takes Indi to the pier where they first kissed. Romeo wants them to investigate where things went wrong in the first place. After articulating what they both want out of life, they find they both want the same things after all and passionately kiss.
Elsewhere, Roo is planning the wedding, but Harvey is preoccupied with the surf carnival and is also feeling in debt to Alf after the loan for the wedding. Roo tells Marilyn that she feels like a third wheel in her relationship with Alf and Harvey. Roo confronts them and accuses Alf of taking advantage of Harvey. When Harvey admits that he asked Alf for a loan, Roo feels betrayed that he didn't tell her about their money troubles and angrily suggests they call off the wedding.
