Next morning everyone’s gathered at brekkie – Lisa is wearing one of Drew’s t-shirts. She gives him a morning kiss as Belle arrives in the door way to pick up Ryan for the beach. It’s clearly awkward and Belle can only imagine what happened between them last night. She composes herself and can’t get Ryan out of there fast enough! When Lisa and Drew get the place to themselves, she tries it on again and Drew goes with it – but as he closes his eyes, all he can think of is Belle. His eyes fly open – he can’t do this. Lisa is shocked – he covers, saying he just doesn’t want to rush into it. Lisa knows he’s got Belle on his mind.
Meanwhile, Belle is still angry with Drew, but tries her hardest to forget about this morning. Driven by this, she throws herself at Lucas – he’s a little surprised, but doesn’t discourage it. She begins to take off his shirt – telling him she’s ready. Why now? Belle asks why not? They kiss passionately and before too long are on their way to the bedroom. They emerge later and Lucas is stoked as he looks at Belle lovingly. She tries to return it, but it’s taking her effort, luckily she’s distracted – the lunch Lucas made has burnt. But he doesn’t care as he tells Belle how amazing that was and how much he loves her. He’s clearly more besotted than ever – unlike Belle. They then head to the Surf Club and see Drew playing pool. Lucas is grinning after his ‘interlude’ with Belle and it doesn’t take long for Drew to join the dots. He congratulates Belle – he hopes Lisa and him will get there too one day. Belle is left reeling – she assumed they had and now realises what a big mistake she’s made for her and Lucas! She runs to the beach, tears falling. Lucas follows her, making sure she’s okay – does she regret what they did? Belle covers saying it’s just silly girl stuff – it’s good crying. Over his shoulder, who should be watching on but Drew. This can only end in pain.
Amanda is on the phone to the jeweller – she’s agitated with thoughts of Ethan and is no state of mind to be dealing with wedding rings. She tells him to just make a decision and design something Peter will love. Peter overhears this – don’t be silly, I’ll grab my wallet and we can go and see the jeweller now. He heads off as Kelli moves over – what’s wrong? Amanda doesn’t let on and after she leaves Kelli calls Ethan – good work, she’s a nervous wreck. Now it’s time to have some fun. Peter and Amanda look over the designs the jeweller has given them to chose from. Amanda’s completely distracted and gives a non-committal response. Peter asks for Dan’s opinion – which design do you prefer? The guys start chatting as Amanda’s mobile rings – it’s Ethan – he wants to see her now at the beach. Amanda makes up an excuse and leaves abruptly – Peter’s a little uneasy about it. Ethan smiles as Amanda approaches. Remember these? He holds up the morphine she stole from him. What about it? He has a buyer and wants her help for the deal – or he’ll send the ‘photos’ of her to Peter. Her choice. Amanda knows she doesn’t have one. What do I have to do?
He gives her the drugs – she has to stash them someplace while he sorts details. Then he’ll call with the next step. Amanda tries to protest – her fiancée’s a detective! But she realises she has no choice in the matter, falling deeper into Kelli and Ethan’s trap. She arrives home nervously and has to get rid of Colleen first, before stashing the drugs. Then Peter gets home with champagne – it’s all getting too much. She shoves the morphine under the kitchen sink and stands in front, as if to guard it. Later, Peter spills his coffee and heads straight under the sink – Amanda charges in, completely panicked and shrieks for him to not open the cupboard! She insists that he can’t look – it’s nothing bad, trust me. Peter knows something’s up and demands she move aside so he can see what it is. Amanda’s trapped – how will she get out of this one?
