The Sutherland crew finally seems to be melding as a family but Rhys and Beth worry that Jade is planning to quit schooling altogether. Rhys decides to take her to Yabbie Creek High. They decide to surprise Robbie with a bigger birthday bash at the surf-club.

An oversight by Colleen sees Alf double-booking the surf-club for Hayley and Robbie's parties! Alf has to decide which party to ‘let down’. He comes up with a brilliant idea – combine them both!

Sally moves into Irene’s house to get away from Flynn, confirming Jesse’s suspicions that there is something going on between Flynn and Leah.

Hyde thanks Sally for her help after the Education Department congratulates him for ‘their’ handling of the situation. Sally angrily reminds him that she hadn’t wanted anything to do with his hard-line methods and starts to cry. Hyde shows his tender side and they have a good talk instead. Sally tells him she can’t work with him and will quit if he doesn’t give her a transfer.

Kim admits to Irene that it was him who crashed her car, but Irene already knew. The insurance company refuses to pay for the car. Hyde finds out Kim was involved and – despite Irene’s protests - says he will pay for it himself.

Noah’s planning a big surprise present for Hayley’s 21st and Dani suspects it’s an engagement ring. Noah refuses to blab. Sally waits for Flynn to contact her but hears nothing from him. She decides to leave Summer Bay for time-out, and goes to stay with Pippa.

Rhys takes a strange call from a Mrs Degroot. The Degroots visit from the city and explain they had their daughter Laura at the same hospital as Jade and Kirsty. They allege their baby was switched at birth with one of the Sutherland twins…Jade.
