
Later, Hugo tells Martha that he just wants everything to end and he's going to sell the boast instead. When Martha receives a call from an interested buyer, she tells them the boat isn't for sale. A brick is then hurled through the window. After lodging a police report, Martha confronts John once again, but this time she shocks him by announcing that she's going to run against him in the council elections.
With a baby on the way, Miles suggests to Kirsty that they should get married. However, Kirsty isn't thrilled at his suggestion. The next day, Miles speaks to Alf about what to do and Alf suggests that, given everything Kirsty has been through at such a young age, she just needs time to think things through and sort out what she wants to do. Later, Kirsty reveals to Miles that she's thought about his suggestion and doesn't want to marry him.
Elsewhere, Annie has taken up surfing lessons with Romeo but after being humiliated at class, decides she's never going back. Irene worries about Annie and her moods of late. Later at the school, Annie finds a poem in her locker as Jai watches in the distance. Jai informs Romeo that Annie liked the poem and wonders if now is the time for him to make his move. However, Romeo warns him against it.
