Williamson will be seen in the part of Roy Marlin, a former police colleague of established character Rob Hollins (Chris Walker).

Although he is now retired from the force, Roy's storyline shows that he hasn't lost his inquisitive edge when he becomes suspicious of his new neighbours.

Doctors will air the episode on Tuesday, April 8 at 1.45pm on BBC One.

Since leaving EastEnders in 2004, Williamson has appeared in a number of other shows including Extras, Life's Too Short and children's TV series Scoop.
