Ex-'Hollyoaks' star to guest in 'Doctors'
Former Hollyoaks actor Marcus Patric is to guest in an episode of Doctors, it was announced today.

Patric – who played the role of Chester firefighter Ben Davies for five years – will appear as landscape gardener Robert Penrose in an episode at the beginning of October entitled 'Truth Be Told'.

The character has a thriving business and a keen eye for the ladies. But when he falls for Lisa (Annie Cooper), he worries that he's not good enough for her and poses as a successful architect.

However, Robert isn't the only one masquerading in their relationship and it's practice nurse Michelle Corrigan (Donnaleigh Bailey) who is on hand to prescribe a few home truths!

Senior Producer Mike Hobson said: "We're extremely pleased to have Marcus on board with us, particularly as he's such a popular actor and a real hit with the ladies.

"It's the perfect role for him and I know he'll do a fantastic job. In fact, my only worry is for the girls in the production office actually getting any work done when Marcus is in!"

The 27-year-old actor begins filming on Friday and will return to the Birmingham-based set next week. His episode will transmit on Monday, October 1.
