Two former 'Emmerdale' faces for 'Doctors'
Another two ex-Emmerdale stars have been confirmed to make guest appearances in BBC One's daytime medical drama, Doctors.

First, Peter Martin – who played the Dales' Len Reynolds for six years before being killed off last month – will appear as a character called Boris Scrimshaw, a man who comes across a little dim and innocent but is in fact a clever low-level con artist who, along with his wife Hetty (Deddie Davies), has been committing credit card fraud for years under the names of their pets!

Meanwhile, Samantha Giles – who starred as Yorkshire's Bernice Thomas for four years before heading to Where The Heart Is before it was axed – is to play Pia Marshall, a successful architect who's struggling with the various stresses and strains of her life. She has become moody and destructive and her husband Pete (Martin Parr) is finding it difficult to get through to her. It's up to Doctor Nick West (Michael McKell) to find out what's wrong.

Martin - who has been filming with the Birmingham-based soap for the past week - will make his screen appearance on Tuesday, October 9, while Samantha begins a week's filming today with her episode airing on Monday, October 15.

Last week, DS exclusively revealed that Leah Bracknell – another former Emmerdale actress – has also been booked to make an appearance.
