'Doctors': Lu Corfield shares behind-the-scenes fire episode pictures

Doctors star Lu Corfield has tweeted a pair of pictures offering a glimpse behind the scenes at the soap's dramatic fire episode.

Today's instalment of the BBC One drama saw Corfield's character Freya Wilson turn hero as she attempted to save colleague Kevin Tyler (Simon Rivers) from a blaze at his girlfriend's home.

Both were soon rushed to hospital, where events took a tragic turn as one of them flatlined…

Although Corfield is currently keeping tight-lipped about her character's fate, she discussed the game-changing fire scenes with fans on her Twitter page this afternoon (June 18).

Posting up a picture of her kissing co-star Simon Rivers on the all-important filming day, the actress commented: "The shot all Freya & Kevin fans hoped would happen! Here's me with the wonderful Simon Rivers. Both emotional wrecks."

Sharing a second picture, she added: "And life goes on... on the other side of the camera at least. THANK YOU all for your amazing comments about today's ep."

Doctors fans now have a three-week wait to find out who lived and who died as the show is on a transmission break.
