'Stealing Beauty'

Daniel continues trying to flirt with Cherry. He thinks he’s making progress but she thinks it’s all a bit bizarre.

Ruth and Smithy are having a great time together. He makes her laugh by impersonating Henry and then takes her for a spin around the hospital in a wheelchair. The fun is interrupted when Ruth spots Heston who has come to visit her. Ruth runs to her room and explains to Smithy about Heston. She tells him she wants to make a good impression on Heston so she can go back to work. Smithy grabs her a bit aggressively and tries to explain how she doesn’t need those people and it’s only at the Beeches that she can be free. Ruth agrees with him to get him to stop.

Heston and Ruth are catching up about the Mill when Smithy arrives pretending to be a doctor. Smithy’s antics shock Heston but Ruth ends up in hysterics. Later that night Ruth tells Smithy that he is all she has now as she feels everyone else has turned their back on her. They kiss.

Heston reports back to Julia and Lily and tells them he fears Ruth hasn’t made as much progress as they would have hoped.

At the Icon Cherry tells Melody about Daniel’s flirting. Melody tells her he has a lot of baggage. Cherry reveals he doesn’t stand a chance as she is only looking for Mr Right. Daniel tries again to flirt with Cherry but he ends up embarrassing himself, much to Jimmi’s amusement.

Meanwhile, Daniel gives Jimmi some dating advice; be the person he wants to be with. On his way to get some lunch Jimmi is drawn into an art gallery. He steps inside and immediately feels uncomfortable when the director Peter Mawhinney (50) greets him and gives him a programme and asks if he is a journalist. Jimmi tells him he is a doctor.

Jimmi tries to talk to a couple of woman who are looking at the artwork. He is humiliated when they blatantly reject his advances. He then spots a beautiful woman (Cat Jennson 32) who looks completely at home in the gallery. He takes a deep breath and goes over to her. The conversation seems to come easy between them and Jimmi is entranced. Cat asks if Jimmi loves art - he decides to be honest and says no. Cat says she thinks that’s a shame and moves on.

Jimmi deliberates whether or not to approach Cat again to ask for her number. He decides not to and heads for the door when Cat starts to have an asthma attack. She is trying to get someone to get to her bag which has fallen on the ground. Jimmi steps forward but before he reaches her she smashes an alarm box that is near her. Peter and a security guard come over. Jimmi tells everyone he is a doctor and starts to deal with Cat. She makes Jimmi ask for everyone to leave.

Peter is worried as the press will be on their way soon. Jimmi can’t find the inhaler in Cat’s bag. He hands Peter the keys to her car to have a look for it in the glove compartment. Cat asks Jimmi for some water. He heads off and finds a kitchen at the back of the gallery, all the while hearing Cat wheezing. She seems to calm after a drink and then Peter returns with her inhaler. Jimmi helps her to her feet to get some air outside.

Cat and Jimmi sit on a bench in the park across the road. Cat tells him it has always been her fantasy to be saved by a doctor in public. She reveals she faked the asthma attack when she heard he was a doctor. Jimmi feels used but is also flattered. He makes to go back to work but Cat asks him to take her home.

Jimmi is strangely drawn to her and they officially introduce themselves. Cat lives in an impressive detached house. She asks Jimmi to come in and he agrees, despite an initial hesitation. He spots a picture frame in her bag when she goes to get her keys and he notices Cat’s house is full of artwork. Suspicious, Jimmi calls Daniel to get him to cover his afternoon list.

Jimmi challenges Cat about the painting in her bag. It turns out it’s not the first painting she has stolen. Jimmi is angry that she used him to steal the painting; he goes to call the police. She tries to explain that she really did fancy him. Jimmi is torn about what to do. She promises to return the painting as long as he doesn’t call the police.

Jimmi and Cat arrive back at the gallery to find it has become a crime scene. Jimmi can’t believe he has got himself into this situation. Cat tells him to wait for her in a café and she will meet him after she returns the painting.

Jimmi has been waiting for Cat but its clear she isn’t going to arrive so he pays and leaves. But then he finds Cat in his car when he gets into it. Back at Cat’s house they start kissing but Jimmi breaks off and leaves; he just can’t risk it. He meets Daniel at the Icon and tells him the story of what has happened. He admits he was completely taken by Cat but he could never trust her. We see Cat alone in her house straightening a painting but the one she stole is back hanging in the gallery.
