However, Michelle becomes disturbed that they talk about their patients as “units” and realises as a nurse here she will just be a robot, with very little time for personal care. Michelle turns down a job offer and returns to tell Jimmi. He’s pleased but has to break the news about Ruth…
It’s the day the Mill find out whether Ruth is deemed fit for work by Henry. Heston is adamant that Ruth is not, whereas Melody is hoping Henry confirms her diagnosis. Later that day Henry’s assessment arrives; Ruth is fit for work. Melody is vindicated and Heston oddly chirpy. He later reveals to Lily that he is confident Ruth will fail anyway so he wins really. Lily is horrified at Heston’s insensitivity and declares they are over.
Meanwhile, Freddie Clemson (16) phones his friend asking him to cover for him at school; he’s going to get some answers from an expert. Not longer after he’s sat in Daniel’s consulting room asking Daniel to tell him all about sex.
At first, Daniel thinks he is taking the mick but Freddie reveals his gran takes him out of sex education classes and his friends tell him lies. Stunned, Daniel launches into his sex education talk. Later Freddie emerges in shock. Meanwhile Freddie’s devout grandmother, Leticia Clemson is tidying up after Freddie and reads a note in his pocket revealing he has had an appointment with Daniel.
Leticia, phones the Mill demanding information about her grandson. Karen wards her off but Daniel realises he should go and see her to calm the situation. On his way Daniel hears music from the neighbour’s house and peering over the fence sees them doing an odd risqué dance. Daniel chuckles but stops laughing when he realises Leticia has handcuffed him to the fence! Berating him for being a dirty man she beats him with a rug beater to the beat of the music.
Freddie arrives horrified and reveals who Daniel is. He has to tell his Gran why he went to the Mill and Daniel suggests Leticia starts treating him like a young adult.
