'The Real Me'
Ruth dreams that she goes to the graveyard to visit Vicky but ends up in a psychiatric hospital. To her horror Ruth is the patient and Vicky has come to visit her to tell her she is leading her life for her and doing it better than she ever could.
Malcolm Lambert finds out he can’t contest his mother’s will and Daniel gets to keep the fifty grand. He researches Daniel on the internet and finds out about his past. Malcolm turns up at the Mill and witnesses Daniel having a go at Ruth.

Malcolm shouts at Daniel, and tries to get some information out of Ruth but she gives nothing away. Daniel sees them and presumes Ruth has been gossiping and is furious. He stalks into Julia demanding that she is fired but won’t tell Julia the full story. Malcolm calls a newspaper to dish the dirt on Daniel.

Cherry challenges Simon to find out who else at the Mill is gay. Jimmi plays along with Cherry’s joke. Zara winds him up claiming Daniel is the one who is gay. Simon nervously approaches Daniel and tries to get him to open up about being gay.

Daniel hasn’t got a clue what he is babbling about and Simon realises he’s been duped when he spots Cherry giggling in the hall. He insults Julia’s shoes, thinking she’s in on it too but she’s completely bewildered.

Ruth has a very busy day at the Mill and Julia worries she isn’t coping. Ruth’s dream comes back to haunt her over the day, and she has a session with Henry who helps her realise everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and it’s about using the strength to face the weaker sides of her nature.

Meanwhile, Daniel sees teenage girl Jodie Ramsey (16) who is gutted that mum Holly Ramsey (34) is a flirt. They’re new to the area and it’s not the first time they have moved to a new town. Holly talks to Jodie as if she’s a friend rather than a daughter.

Jodie goes to see Daniel alone and claims to have a racing heart. She then tries to kiss Daniel who is alarmed and asks her to leave. Jodie thinks Daniel has turned her down because he wants her mum, and is humiliated and leaves. She tries to shock her mum by saying she needed the morning after pill but Holly talks about the times she’s needed it herself, and tells Jodie to lighten up.

Jodie goes to school where she appears to have no mates, and tries to call an old friend but is disappointed when they’re too busy to speak to her. Jodie turns up again at the Mill and scared by the morning’s events, Daniel tells Ruth to get rid of her. Ruth tries to suggest Jodie’s mental health might be at stake but Daniel puts her in her place and tells her to leave the medical stuff to those who are qualified.

Jodie opens up to Ruth and tells her she is tired of moving around. Between them Daniel and Ruth help Holly realise Jodie just wants her to act like a mum not a friend. Jodie says she just wants to settle down and call a place home.

Holly reveals her fear of becoming like her parents. Julia overhears Daniel telling Ruth she did well.
