'A Bit Of A Pickle'

Lily is back from a course and enjoys sharing her findings with an eager Simon but her suspicions are aroused when he mentions her 'secret' Thursday nights.

Jimmi's trendy new shirt attracts some attention at work but it's only Imogen's straight talking that reveals how bad it really looks.

Cherry is preoccupied with finding out whether Michelle is secretly drinking at work. She tries to confide in Simon but he's more interested in the academic perspective. Cherry tries to catch Michelle out but is duped by her.

After Simon tries to make amends Cherry realises that she needs to try a different approach and asks Michelle outright about the bottle she saw.

Michelle denies Cherry's claims and asks her to drop it but Cherry is convinced that she is lying.

Meanwhile, Doreen Webster (50) is antagonised by her ex Clifford Wesbter (56) when he pitches his mobile smoothie business opposite her hamburger stall. Clifford is forced to leave after Doreen complains to the Park Authority but is adamant that he will be back with a vengeance.

He goes to Michelle, a family friend for a check up after his hernia op and she admits that she was surprised to hear about the divorce. Clifford denies that there was anyone else involved in the break up; he just wasn't good enough for Doreen and now she's taking him for all he's got.

At lunch Michelle goes to see Doreen, who reveals that Clifford's gambling took priority but Michelle says she's convinced he thinks the world of her.

With Clifford back on his patch, he pushes it too far when he uses underhand sales tactics to attract custom and Doreen is on the warpath until the pair are stopped in their tracks by an angry Michelle. Clifford steps in to help when two teenage boys try to steal from Doreen but whilst saving the day, he inadvertently manages to smack Doreen in the face.

Michelle tends to Doreen's injury and questions her about her feelings for Clifford as she obviously still cares. Michelle plays matchmaker as she tells Clifford that Doreen still loves him, but not the gambling. He promises to do whatever it takes to get her back.
