'Empty Nest'

It's the first day of the assertiveness course and Heston manages to annoy the counsellor, Graham, with his aggressiveness, as well as making a woman cry. Ruth surprises herself by enjoying it and impressing Graham with her quiet confidence.

Heston receives some bad feedback from the group, who all, including Ruth, agree he has much to learn. Heston is mortified.

Meanwhile Daniel has a new aftershave and insists Simon to sniff him. Zara teases Simon all day about fancying Daniel.

As an act of revenge Simon reveals to Daniel that Zara has told everyone about them sleeping together. When Daniel presumes it was all good feedback, Simon doesn't put him right. Daniel smiles a smug smile in the mirror, believing Zara is smitten.

Meanwhile, Paul (43) lurks outside a house watching a young girl, Saskia (19), through her bedroom window. He tenses as he sees she's with a man.

Later, Saskia is at uni talking to her friend Chloe (20), who is trying to convince Saskia to come to China for a year to teach with her. Saskia is reluctant, and we see in the distance Paul is still watching her. While Saskia is in her lecture Paul lets himself into her house, and pokes around her room.

Suddenly he realises the man from earlier is still there. He spots Paul, who runs from the house, however the police are onto him and Rob asks Paul in for questioning. Paul claims he was visiting his daughter and starts to have a panic attack.

At the police station Lily checks him over as he reveals how much he's missed his daughter since she went to university. He keeps checking up on her, convinced she's not ready for the wide world. Lily suggests counselling but Paul brushes her off. Saskia arrives and confirms Paul is her father. She's furious at him and tells him to stay away from her.

After Paul has gone home Lily approaches Saskia and tells her she's concerned Paul may be damaging his health due to anxiety. Saskia explains her mother committed suicide and her dad's been protective ever since. They don't talk about her mother's death and she claims she's moved on.

Lily suggests she talk to her father, as he needs help to move on and change his behaviour. Saskia goes to her Dad's house and offers to visit more often if he'll back off. Paul is thrilled with this and makes tea.

Meanwhile, Saskia wanders into the study to discover the walls are covered with photos of her, it's a shrine. Saskia is horrified and leaves. Paul breaks down crying. Outside the house Saskia calls Chloe; she'd love to come to China! Paul calls Lily, ready to accept help.
